A Journey to the Cross: 40 Days in the Footsteps of Jesus

Easter is right around the corner.
Lent is the period of 40 days prior to Easter – beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending on the Thursday before Easter; 40 days (minus the Sundays). In your faith tradition, you may not observe Lent, but it is a wonderful time of spiritual preparation for Easter. Many people fast, read Scripture, and pray – along with other spiritual activities – in remembrance of the 40 days Jesus spent fasting and praying in the desert as he began his ministry.
Even if you don’t observe this tradition, it’s a great opportunity to draw closer to God and prepare your hearts for Easter.
We’ve created a series to help you do just that!
We’ve created a post for each week of Lent, along with special weekly bible readings that include simple reflections for meditation, journaling, or discussion. We’ve even included some ideas and activities to help make this 40 days more meaningful. Each week, you’ll journey with Jesus, digging deep into the events leading up to his crucifixion and resurrection. You’ll discover new things that will help you experience these events as if you were right there.
So get ready to trek through Jerusalem’s dusty streets, courtyards, gardens, upper rooms, hillsides, and more, together!

We’ll send you a new post, Scripture readings, discussion/journaling questions, and activities each week.
P.S. If you have friends you’d like to join you in this journey, they can sign up here:
